# Earning Gold Dust

Dust is the first token live. Collect it for about 3 weeks before Flake goes live as its trading partner — that's the reason to be staking from day one.

There are two ways to earn Gold Dust:

### Stake a Digger

* Any of the 198 Diggers can be staked.
* Staking is custodial (the Digger moves into the staking contract) but there's no lockup — unstake any time.
* Regular Diggers earn 100 DUST/day.
* Legendary Diggers earn 250 DUST/day (2.5x a regular Digger).

### Join the Ambassador program

* Open to community members who help promote the project — ask in the Discord `#ambassadors` channel.
* Ambassadors earn 500 DUST/week, less than staking even a regular Digger (700 DUST/week), so owning a Digger stays the better earn.

Both are paid from the same fixed, non-inflationary Dust supply.
